Q1 Visa

Q1 Visa USA for Training and Cultural Programs

The Q1 visa is issued by the US government to people, who are above 18 years and intend to participate, in training, employment or cultural programs. For applying this visa the applicant must have the program administered by US employer. The employer sponsoring the foreign candidate must provide training and relevant employment while sharing the culture and tradition of the applicant’s home country.

  • The applicant should not be less than 18 years of age
  • Should be able to communicate about the cultural attributes of their home country
  • The applicant must be sponsored by an US employer that will take care of the cultural exchange program
  • Applicants who are re-entering the US on Q1 visa should remain outside US for at least 1 year before re-entering
  • The applicants must meet the health and character requirements.
  • The Q1 visa holder is entitled to take employment in US which is related to the cultural program.
  • The visa is granted for 15 months and extensions are not allowed.
  • The spouse and children of Q1 visa holder are not entitled to accompany them.
