The province of Quebec has its own immigration program & selection criteria. The Quebec Provincial Nominee Program enables Quebec to select its own immigrants. The province has its own requirements and prefers to select immigrants who can adapt to living in Quebec. The Quebec Skilled Worker Category under the Provincial Nominee Program is meant for skilled workers who meet the required skills, education, and work experience requirements set up by the Province of Quebec. Applicants who attain sufficient points in the selection system are given a Quebec Selection Certificate which helps them to attain Canadian permanent residence. In order to attain a Quebec Selection Certificate, Skilled Worker / Professional applicants need to take the Quebec Immigration selection system.
The Quebec Skilled Worker applicants then need to complete their medical and security examinations conducted by the Canadian government to attain their Canada Immigration (permanent resident) visa.
